Introduction to Company Central
If you are managing multiple companies within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Company Central (CC) provides you with a single dashboard where you can see relevant information and execute typically repetitive tasks in one place rather than navigating to each company individually to perform these activities one at a time.
Company Central allows for the following enhanced functionality:
- Update the Posting Date range in General Ledger Setup for multiple companies at one time.
- Set user-specific Posting Date ranges in User Setup for multiple companies at one time.
- Replicate User Setup records to other companies.
- View and post General Journal batches with unposted entries in all companies from within any company.
- Designate General Journals to automatically post on a schedule via job queues.
- Selectively synchronize G/L Accounts in the Chart of Accounts from the designated Master Sync Company to other companies.
- Automatically create the Intercompany Chart of Accounts in the Master Sync Company and synced companies.
- Selectively synchronize Dimension Codes and Values from the designated Master Sync Company to other companies.
- Automatically create Intercompany Dimensions and Dimension Values in the Master Sync Company and synced companies.
- Selectively synchronize Vendors from the designated Master Sync Company to other companies.
